The short version. Wing reads a chat only when you ask it to, or while you have live mode on. It keeps a short summary of each person you talk to so it can help next time. The other person’s actual messages are deleted within 24 hours. Nothing is ever sent for you. You can export or delete everything at any time.
When Wing looks
- On Mac, when you press the key, click the orb, or while automatic reads are on. It reads the chat through macOS Accessibility, and falls back to a screenshot only if you allow it.
- On iPhone, while live mode is running, and when you tap the Wing key on the keyboard.
- On Android, when you tap the bubble. The screen is read on your phone; only the text is sent.
Wing never types into, sends from, or automates another app. It puts words in the box. You decide whether to send them.
What it keeps, and for how long

Who processes it
Replies are written by Claude, a model from Anthropic, through Anthropic’s API. Text is sent to it only to produce your result. Payments are handled by the store you bought through (Apple, Google) or by Stripe; Wing never sees your card. Wing does not sell your data, does not show ads, and does not use your chats to train models.
Your controls
- Export everything Wing holds about you as one file, from Account in the app.
- Delete one match, or your whole account and everything in it, from Account in the app. Deletion is immediate.
- Turn off automatic reads and live mode at any time; Wing then reads only when you ask.
Export and account deletion ask you to have signed in within the last ten minutes, so nobody holding your unlocked device can take your data.
Security
Everything travels over TLS. Sign in uses Apple, Google or an email link, with short-lived access tokens and rotating refresh tokens. Every record is scoped to your account. Logs never contain message text.
Children
Wing is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
